Women's
Ministry
Then the prophet Miriam,
Aaron’s sister, took a tambourine in her hand;
and all the women went out
after her with tambourines and with dancing.

Here at St. Clement's
by-the-Sea, in addition to our active Episcopal Church
Women's Group, we have other groups geared to the needs of
women.
Daughters
of the King
Here at St.Clement’s
by-the-Sea we have a chapter of Daughters of the King (DOK).
Perhaps some of you are curious about Daughters of the
King and how that might enrich your spiritual life.
Briefly, Daughters of the
King is an Order for women who are communicants of the
Episcopal Church, or churches in communion with it. A
Daughter pledges herself to a life-long program of prayer,
and service, dedicated to the spread of Christ’s Kingdom
and the strengthening of the spiritual life of her parish.
We explore different methods of prayer, and study the
lives of those who have gone before us who inspire us to
deepen our relationship with God. We often provide
hospitality to the congregation by hosting luncheons for
our Women’s Quiet Days as well as various other occasions.

Women's
Book Discussion
This is a monthly discussion group of a book picked out the prior month. The
discussion is lively, and fellowship is wonderful.
Dinner is provided for a small fee.
Contacts: Betty Comer, Patty Clarke, Sally Harrison.
Women's
Quiet Days and Retreats
The
women of the parish gather together for a Quiet Day during Advent and Lent.
This is a time for women and their friends to come to the church to spend
a day in prayer and meditation. There
will be times for guided meditation, massage and learning new ways to pray
as well as time to sink in to the stillness of God.
A closing Eucharist will be offered to end this day.
Our
annual retreat is an opportunity for women to spend a weekend together in quiet,
prayer, thought and fellowship in the Spirit of God.
