San Clemente: Hunger walk

Betty Comer plans to wheel her way in the upcoming South County Hunger Walk on Sunday.

"Several people in my church have agreed to push me in a wheelchair," said Comer, 62, who recently injured her hip.

The Hunger Walk, which is the nonprofit's annual fundraiser, is a 5K starting at the community center,

corner of Calle Seville and Avenida Del Mar. Registration is at 1 p.m. and the walk begins at 2 p.m.
