San Clemente: Service celebrates Marines

St. Clement's Episcopal Church invites the community to a service this weekend to celebrate the Marine Corps' birthday and Veterans Day.

A special 10 a.m. church service Sunday will be followed by festivities including cutting a birthday cake with a saber. There will be city officials, a color guard, a bugler and fundraising for the Wounded Warrior project.

The service has become a tradition at St. Clement's, 202 Avenida Aragon, spokeswoman Betty Comer said.

"We have people hanging out the door," said Betty Comer, church spokeswoman. "It's a really uplifting and wonderful celebration."
