Lectors
Let us
proclaim the voice of God in the proclamation of His word
as we remember what the
Holy One has done and give him thanks.

Leading the
Liturgy of the Word that forms the first part of every
service of Holy
Eucharist, lectors proclaim the Word of
God from the Old and New Testaments. Like all other
Worship Ministries, the Lectors represent a cross-section
of St. Clement's by-the-Sea's diverse membership and help
focus the congregation on the prayers and praise that are
the heart of our Christian life.

Lector but are afraid of some of those words in the Bible?

words.
In addition, if
you want to know if you're serving this weekend, or if you're interested in reviewing the
readings (including the Prayers of the People) for the
upcoming or future Sundays, you can find them in the
Calendar section of this website or by clicking
here.
You can click on the book to the right on
this page to view all online readings for a few months on
a site called The Lectionary Page. This link does NOT
include the Parish's Prayers of the People, and may NOT be
the same as the readings we are doing this Sunday
(sometimes we change the readings for special service,
such as the Celtic Service or the Service for the Virgin
of Guadalupe, for example. If you want to know what
we're doing this Sunday, go to the Calendar section of
this website or click the blue link in the paragraph
above.
