Altar Guild
Almighty God, grant we
beseech Thee,
that we may handle Holy
things with reverence,
and perform our work
with such faithfulness and devotion
that it may rise with
acceptance before Thee and obtain Thy blessing;
thru Jesus Christ our
Lord. Amen.
Members of the Altar
Guild share the duties associated with caring for the
linens, vestments, vessels and other "stuff" that are an
integral part of our worship. From polishing silver and
ironing altar-cloths to sharing fellowship with other St. Clement's by-the-Sea members who share a love for keeping
God’s house in good order, Altar Guild membership is open
to men and women.
Members of the Altar Guild also
coordinate the cleaning and greening of the church at
Christmas, the Palming of the church at Palm Sunday, and
the flowering of the church at Easter. It's not just
all brass polish and pledge!
